-Eram Garden of Shiraz is one of the most beautiful and popular sightseeing places in Shiraz, whose name is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List as an Iranian garden. The Eram Garden of Shiraz is one of the properties of the Qavami family of Shiraz, which was confiscated during the Pahlavi period and was handed over to Shiraz University shortly after. Currently, this garden is at the disposal of Shiraz University; Its botanical garden is owned by the Faculty of Agriculture and the garden mansion is owned by the Faculty of Law.
-Shams-ud-din Muhammad Hafiz / Hafez (c. 1326-1389) is one of the most beloved poets of the Persians, and is considered by many – from different cultures.
-The Quran Gate of Shiraz is one of the old gates of Iran, which is actually the northern entrance gate of Shiraz. Its name is the Qur’an in which it is placed. In the past, Shiraz had 6 gates; Qur’an Gate, Isfahan Gate, Saadi Gate, Butcher’s Gate, Kazaroon Gate and Shah Dai Gate to Elah. Currently, there is no gate except the Qur’an Gate and the people of Shiraz can only show the location of the old gates. This gate was built by the order of Azd al-Dulah Delami and the reason for its name is the Quran that was placed in it by the order of the Amir so that travelers would be blessed and pass through it safely.
-Hazrat Ali bin Hamzah (a.s.) is the grandson of Imam Musa Kazem (a.s.) and his shrine is one of the most sacred and respected shrines in Fars province and Shiraz city.
Imamzadeh Ali ibn Hamza ibn Musa ibn Jafar ibn Muhammad ibn Ali ibn al-Hussein ibn Ali ibn Abi Talib (a.s.) was born on this threshold, whose lineage leads to Imam Musa Kazim (a.s.) He is the grandson of Imam Musa Kazim (a.s.) and has great uncles such as Imam Reza (a.s.), Ahmad ibn Musa (a.s.) and Qasim ibn Musa (a.s.). And it is the source of healing hearts and many good things and great blessings.
Hazrat’s father is buried in the city of Ray, and Hazrat Shaabdul Azim (AS) is one of the pilgrims and admirers of Hazrat Hamza (AS), and for this reason, Hazrat ShaAbdul Azim (AS) was buried next to this honorable man.
Due to the pressure of the Abbasid caliphs, Ali bin Hamza (a.s.) fled to Shiraz in 220 AH and hid in a cave that Babakohi later chose for his retreat. During the days, he provided firewood and sometimes brought it to the gate of the pool, and from the sale of it, he took small provisions for the family to the cave.
One day the Caliph’s officers recognized him and beheaded him and sent the head to Baghdad and buried the body in the current location (above the Isfahan Gate Bridge).
The tomb of Ali Ibn Hamzah (AS) is located in Shiraz at the bottom of the Qur’an Gate (Isfahan Gate) street, which has a large and beautiful shrine, and the main building of the tomb was built during the time of Azd al-Dula Dilami, which was later repaired during the Safavid, Zandiya, and Qajar periods.
The burial place of that noble person was forgotten until the time of Amir Azdal Doulah Deilami without a court and a dome. Fatemeh Khatun, the sister of Amir Azdal Doulah Dailami, built a large building and a tall dome over the grave of Hazrat Ali Bin Hamzah (AS), which is now located on the southern slope of Isfahan Gate Bridge. It is located on the west side of the street.
During the Safavid period and later during the Zandiye period, extensive renovations were done on the tomb. During the Qajar era, in 1239 AH due to an earthquake, the building of the mausoleum was razed to the ground, and in 1260 AH, Husayn Ali Mirza rebuilt the tomb and court of Ali bin Hamza (AS) and in recent years, repairs have been carried out in it, and now It is well protected.
Although it is old and worn out at the entrance of the tomb of Ali bin Hamzah (AS), it is an example of the taste and art of the people of Shiraz in terms of carving. After passing through the corridor, at the place where they enter the courtyard, a red colored stone is installed on the top of the door, which has a very beautiful inscription written by Ibrahim Sultan, the son of Shahrukh Timuri.
